The sun came back with a vengence on Tuesday - hot, bright humidity, and the whole state is sweating in gratitude. The bugs came with the sun - black flies and mosquitos are everywhere, but thankfully the giant wolf spiders have been lured back outside by the sunlight and no longer feel the need to cozy down in my bed!

I'm trying to get as much done outside as possible, but the bugs give me such an easy excuse to spend at least a part of the day at the cafes, wasting sunlight. My generous aunts gave a donation for the road-project as a baby gift and the rain has delayed our using it until now. With good weather upon us and positive predictions for the weekend, we're excited to begin. Our gravel arrives on Tuesday and then the real work starts.
